I am a tutor who has shaped my life around helping others. I'm available to help students in elementary math, middle school math, reading, writing, literature, American history, European history, psychology, geography, English, social studies, and a multitude of other subjects. I can also help students prepare for standardized exams. I've dreamed of becoming an educator since I was a child. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Kinesiology at Wayne State University, something that I believe is helping me achieve my life long goal of helping others. I've been a student of teachers who are discouraging, mean, and ineffective, so I know what it's like struggle as a learner. But I've also had the privilege of studying under excellent, kind, patient educators who helped me overcome obstacles and achieve success. I model myself after these inspiring teachers. As a tutor I want to engage my students and instill in them a value for education and learning. It is my mission as a tutor to help all of my students succeed and discover their potential. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy playing and watching basketball. I truly consider teaching a hobby of mine because I love doing it so much.
